Is everyone still running NGK TR6's or has something else proven better? Time for a plug change I think. _________________

I run the Denso IT22s and change them every 15K-20K miles. They could easily go longer. At $8 apiece, they're a little too expensive for many. However, the longevity, smooth idle, and low misfire rate is worth it to me. _________________

TR6's are probably the best for the money but they do idle a bit rougher than a iridium and you do have to change them more often but you should be able to get 15-20K out of them.
The IT22 Denso should be good for way, way more than that 15-20K miles though Ken... _________________ My YouTube Channel:

I know, Curtis.
I only put about 4K miles a year on my truck, so changing them every four years is no big deal. Besides.... I just love the way the truck runs with a fresh set of plugs in it. _________________

4000 miles a year!?!?!?
Shoot, you might as well sell that thing!
Actually it is a rough idle and misfires that made me wonder. I might have to bite the bullet and try the Denso's. What gap would be ideal for a modified truck? _________________

I gap mine at .036 with 14.25 lbs. of boost.
I've actually been driving the truck a bit more than usual here lately. I'm planning to do a few extra car shows in 2010, so I might end up adding 5,000 miles to the clock this year. _________________

Mark, rule of thumb for reduction in plug gap on boosted apps is .001 per pound of extra boost over stock. _________________ My YouTube Channel:
