What's the best behind the seat speaker and box setup for the L?

RUNVS is equipped with an MTX Thunderform and 10" Infinity sub-woofers.

Does anyone have a set up that retains any of the precious little storage space these trucks have? Would one sub sound oK or would it sound completely out of balance?

I had an 8" Bazooka Tube in the truck for a couple of years. Easy to hook up to the factory system and the amp is built-in. Provided the much needed bass that the factory system lacks.

i had 1 boston acoustics pro series 10" sub in a 0.5 cu ft box and it sounded good. i pushed it with an orion 900.2 amp. (900 watts rms x 1) it was very musical, but not enough to have some real boom. it only took up the space behind the driver's seat.

then i went with 1 orion hcca 10" sub in a 1.5 cu ft ported box with the same amp, and i have plenty of low end. i may go back to the boston sub to drop some weight, because that ported box with the sub in it weighs close to 200 lbs. it takes up every bit of room behind the seat.

i built both boxes, because i have never been very confident in a store bought box; they always seem too flimsy. you don't want your sub box to flex AT ALL.

here's my current setup:

Love my MTX Thunderform with amp mounted in the middle. A very clean install.

If you look around you can find a two 8" box, i found my first one at a car sterio shop.
I went small to keep the box small. all my projects were with the eights.
Iit will not fit in perfect and some carpet holes on each end will show a little, nothing you cant fix up with a little carpet.
The armrest will still work and there is still a little space left on top for a purse and such, LOL!!!
If you are handy once you get one just spec it out and build one to you oun likeing.
At one time i hade three eights behind the seat.
SEE YA!
