I had replaced the blower intercooler pump (with a Bosh type) about 30K ago, and yesterday it fried, the electrical plug melted along with about an inch of the incoming wires, I wonder why the fuse did not blow!!!!

Anyway; I need the pump part number, and any recommendations to the replacement of the electrical connector.

I would hate to solder the wires to the connection; any of you have a spare connection with about 6” of wire??

Thanks Art!

Would a 2003 PN;M-8501-L54 2003 work on a 2001 model.

One is for sale from BlueOval Industries for $89.95 on ebay!

Art, all years pumps are the same, look around ebay some more, I have seen them as low as $79.95 on there.

NAPA can get you the connector, it is the same as a injector connector.

NAPA part number is 2-18457.

I'm up in Spring, 2926 Louetta, 1.5 miles west of I-45 on Louetta.

We have 8 on hand here.

It sounds like you are closest to the main counter, on Aldine Bender, 2 blocks west of Hardy.

That store is right in front of the warehouse so they can pull one from there if you don't want to come all the way up here.

Just tell the guy on the counter you want a part # 2-18457 Echlin.

I found the place and got the parts (connector), the pump is on order!!

Ok, all is well..

Now for the hard question, their is two wires going in to the pump,
I think one is white, the other?? Which one is the positive one???

Curtis I would have had a hard time doing this without your help, and it is deeply appreciated…

Thank you Sir, and may a ray of sunshine shine on you today!!! Art

Art, you have a test light right?

Just hook up the test light to see which wire is hot.

But as far as hooking up the new connector, I would just put the new connector next to the old one and hook the wires up in the same orientation since the plug will only fit one way.

A test light would work!

The old connector melted in to a clump, and when I grabbed it turned to dust along with the pumps connection....

All I have is about a inch and a half of bear wire!!
